History of the National Program
Crimes Solvers (also known as Crime Stoppers in some jurisdictions) initially began in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since its national launch in 1976, the program operates in more than 1,000 jurisdictions in the United States, Canada, and various other countries throughout the world.
Powhatan Crime Solvers is a "county/community/neighborhood" participation program. Our goal is to keep Powhatan County safe by stopping crime! This program helps gather information so that our law enforcement can solve offenses to the community and citizens.
All tips are anonymous and cash rewards will be paid for clues that are successful to the solution of a crime.
Thank you for stopping crime in it's tracks!
A reward can be up to $1000 as determined by the Board upon consideration of the facts of each case.
